Description
Spend a night at Forest Glen Preserve with OAC! This trip is suitable for beginners, those who've been out of the game for a while, or intermediate backpackers seeking community.
๐ฅพTrip Details
Mileage: 11 miles loop trail
Terrain/conditions: moderate (the trail goes up and down ravines of no more than 75 feet of incline)
Duration: 2 days, 1 night
Location Details: River Ridge Trail at Forest Glen Preserve
๐Trip Itinerary
Day 1: Leave home in time to arrive at Forest Glen Preserve by 10:00 am. (normally 3 hours from downtown Chicago)
Hike to the group campsite over some hilly single-track trail.
Day 2: Hike back to cars.
Optional group lunch at local restaurant.
Drive back to Chicago.

Requirements
This is a trip geared towards beginner backpackers (welcome!). You can expect to hike and carry in all of the items needed for an overnight stay in the backcountry.

๐ Transportation
Carpools will be arranged after RSVPs close.
Each person is responsible for getting to the meeting point on time. If you will be more than 30 minutes late, contact one of the hosts.
