VEST at UCLA is a student builder and founder community connecting ambitious students with founders, investors, and teams across startups, technology, and frontier research. We've hosted events across SoCal with organizations including Manus, a16z, Julius AI, Cognition, and OpenAI. For LA Tech Week, we're hosting The Builder's Lounge, a Jazz Bar bringing together student builders, founders, engineers, investors, creatives, and tech professionals from across Los Angeles for an evening outside the usual conference setting. Enjoy live jazz from Sumting Blue and specialty matcha from Yinji Matcha while meeting others building across LA. The night will feature 4 live founder demos, with each selected founder receiving $100 in Devin credits, a featured demo from Warp, and a short keynote from Alex Monahan (ex-OddsJam), followed by open networking. Whether you're a student looking to break into startups, a founder searching for your next intern or early hire, or simply someone building in LA, come meet the people shaping the next generation of the city's tech community.
