You asked, we listened: SEPTEMBER SUPPER CLUB IS ON A FRIDAY. We’re heading to Zaytinya for a Mediterranean mezze feast, with two tables of six rather than one giant group. The goal is a smaller, more intimate dinner where you can really get to talk with everyone at your table. We’ll be sharing all of the dishes below family-style, and your total is $47 per person, which includes all food, tax, and tip. If you’d like a drink, please ask your server to put it on a separate check so we can keep the group bill nice and clean. THE MENU: Spreads (served with housemade warm pita bread ofc) Hommus: purée of chickpeas, garlic, tahini Baba Ghannouge: fire-roasted eggplant, tahini, lemon, garlic Tzatziki: Greek yogurt with diced cucumbers and dill Tirokafteri: harissa-spiced goat cheese purée with toasted pine nuts, honey, and mint Vegetable Mezze Kolokithokeftedes: zucchini and kefalograviera cheese patties with caper yogurt Bantijan Bil Laban: crispy eggplant with roasted garlic yogurt, pistachio, barberries, mint, and cardamom spice Grape Leaves Dolmades: grape leaves stuffed with rice, tomato, fennel, pine nuts, and sultanas, served with labneh Falafel: traditional crispy chickpea fritters with turmeric pickles, cherry tomato, and tahini Meat & Flatbread Soujouk Pide: spicy soujouk sausage, kasar cheese, and a 65° egg Bone Marrow Kibbeh: beef and bulgur wheat fritters with a bone marrow filling, almonds, pine nuts, currants, and labneh Beef Soutzoukakia: cumin-spiced meatballs in tomato sauce scented with cinnamon, feta, and capers Kebab Platter: lamb, kofte, chicken, and Adana kebabs served with tomato, onion, and garlic toum Basically: dips, crispy things, cheesy things, eggplant, meatballs, kebabs, and enough pita-adjacent activity to make this a very respectable Friday night. Come hungry. Come ready to share. Come prepared to make a new dinner friend. If you can no longer make it, please message me by Friday, September 11 and I will refund you accordingly.
