This month we’re reading Go Tell It on the Mountain by James Baldwin.
With June being Pride month and us a few weeks out from Juneteenth, we wanted an author who lives at that intersection. Baldwin was both. A Black man and a queer man writing the truth of both with no apology.
Go Tell It on the Mountain dives into faith and the weight of the Black church. Fathers and sons. The sins we inherit and the ones we carry alone. Shame, desire, and the long search for grace.
