Come build a wild little mountain village for the day! 🏔️🌈 Come join me for a relaxed mountain adventure with your little wildling(s) - part hike, part picnic, part outdoor playdate, with plenty of space to explore, connect and simply enjoy being outside together 🌿 whether you’re pregnant, in the hazy early days postpartum, further along in your motherhood journey, or chasing after toddlers and bigger kids, you’re welcome here. Come along if the hike feels right for you and your family, at whatever stage you’re at. Daddies are absolutely invited if they fancy joining the adventure! 🏔️ We’ll wander up to the magnificent natural amphitheatre of Corrie Fee, one of the best glacial corries in the British Isles. Nestled within Glen Clova and part of the Cairngorms National Park, this absolute hidden gem offers dramatic mountain views, a fabulous waterfall, rare alpine flowers and the chance to spot golden eagles soaring overhead.. a pretty spectacular place to spend the day 🥾 Once we arrive, we’ll have a chilled afternoon on picnic blankets, with stove-brewed drinks, snacks and plenty of space to roam, play, chat, nap, simply soak up the scenery or head on over to the little natural pools for some splashing about or cold-water dipping if you’re feeling brave! 💦 I’m hoping we can bring along a few simple, nature-inspired activities depending on how many families join us and the ages of the little adventurers. Think rock painting, rainbow hunts and Valhalla ladder crafting, alongside plenty of time for free play and spontaneous adventures 🌈 I’ll have a small open tent for anyone who’d like a quiet, sheltered nest to feed or settle a distractible baby 🪹 🏕️ What to bring: your own picnic, snacks, camping mats, mugs and stoves, plenty of water, warm and waterproof layers, sturdy walking shoes, sun protection, and anything your little ones need for a happy day outdoors - keep an eye on the weather forecast, because.. well, because Scotland. A change of clothes and a towel are a good shout if anyone is planning to splash or dip! The activities will be shaped around the number and ages of the families joining us, so expect a little flexibility and plenty of room for the day to unfold naturally!
