As the nature of technology and AI make beautiful, well-crafted images more and more accessible to create, we hear from critical voices about why it is - and isn’t - essential for us to value the pictures we see and make. This discussion will conclude with short presentations from the speakers that announce the winners of the curation competition briefed just two nights prior at our Sep 2 event. Awards will be given to select online galleries that each convey a strong case for the importance of pictures, using the new web app HOP – a fresh look at presenting collections as online galleries. Join us for these important conversations about the power of images – and stay for drinks, tunes, maybe some ice cream, friends, and cross-over with local galleries! Conversations start at 6pm sharp.
