Hudson Valley Regenerative Housing (HV/RH) is a new community of practice bringing together housing affordability activists, natural builders, community weavers, and those interested in shared ownership models. As our first intro mixer in Kingston in October drew a packed and enthusiastic crowd, we’re excited to invite you to our second quarterly gathering. In October, we connected around practical pathways to build or retrofit more homes to address the Mid-Hudson Valley's acute shortage. Specifically, we explored the intersection of (a) homes built using natural, bio-based materials, (b) affordability via shared ownership and/or community land tenure models, and (c) design to foster connection, well-being, and abundant living. This meetup, we'll re-convene at the newly renovated Hudson Harmonic, across the street from the farmers' market lot in Hudson. 1:30 - 2:10 Gather, intros 2:10 - 3:30 Breakout sessions - Make connections and share interests - Exchange ideas on cooperative housing and ecological building - Identify areas for practical collaboration to realize transitional infrastructure and begin to realize the potential of regenerative approaches to housing If you’ve been working to realize collective visions around co-housing or ecological building, or are passionate about advancing more connected ways of dwelling in the Hudson Valley—join us. No matter where we're starting from, we each have something to offer. Let’s get acquainted, get inspired, and get organized. Light refreshments will be provided.
