The East Bay Permaculture Guild is partnering with the Oakland Peace Center for another community garden work day as our big follow-up to our big unconference spring 2026 edition. This is the foundation of a long-term edible + medicinal community garden project that will share fresh food with OPC neighbors, Wood St. Commons, and building organizations serving unhoused community members.
On the agenda:
πͺ΅ Mulch the garden pathways
πͺ§ Brainstorm for garden signage
π± Plant starts donated by community members
πͺ£ Assess water/irrigation setup
π± Snacks and lunch provided
Whether you're an experienced gardener or a total beginner, we need you! Come for an hour or stay the whole day.
We're aiming for ~20 volunteers and need 5β6 experienced gardeners/project leads to help manage work teams.
