This is your official invite for a one of a kind concert experience with the folk-pop duo, Lonely Parrots! The show will happen on Saturday, May 9th on our rooftop in downtown Asheville and the music will be provided by a pair of dynamic singer-songwriters- Michael Martinez & Max Embers (whose joint credits include collaborations with Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, Naika, John Oates of Hall & Oates, to name a few). The Bay Area based musicians met a decade ago at Berklee College of Music and after pursuing solo careers they joined forces to start a new music duo- Lonely Parrots 🦜 Check out their music at any of the links above ⬆️
Michael & Max are also the co-founders of an initiative called MORF, Music on Regenerative Farms, which aims to bring live, intimate music concerts (much like this house show!) to sustainable projects of all shapes and sizes, with a primary focus on permaculture. They believe in the healing power of music and care deeply about the well being of our beautiful planet, and are so excited to celebrate the intersection of these two passions with this new endeavor.
They're performing on a donation basis and we’d like to encourage $20 per person or whatever the experience is worth to you.
Some other reminders:
- Please pack whatever you need to be comfortable: camping chair, pillow or blanket for sitting, a jacket, etc.
- BYOB and snacks to enjoy picnic/potluck style! Live music is always better with a cool glass of wine/beer/juice in hand!
- Bring friends or family, young and old, all are welcome! The more the merrier!!
- While the music is happening we ask that everyone stay present and engaged. It will make for a truly special experience. And don't worry, there will be plenty of time for everyone to chat and hang out too. The first hour of the evening is for everyone to arrive, snack & socialize. Then the concert will begin.
Please reach out in the comments if you have any questions!
See you there! 🥳 🎶 🦜
