🥁 THE DRUM BIRTHING CEREMONY RETURNS 🔥 Sometimes ceremony asks us to listen before it asks us to begin. Our original Drum Birthing Ceremony had to be postponed because of the extreme summer heat. And while we were disappointed not to gather that day, the pause has given this experience something unexpected: A new date. A new home. And a beautiful space for the ceremony to unfold. ✨ Saturday, September 26 | 10 AM–6 PM 📍 The Royal Temple · Vista, CA We’ll gather beneath the trees, around the fire, and spend the day in the intentional process of birthing a drum with our own hands. Because this isn’t simply about learning how to make an instrument. It’s about relationship. Relationship with the hide and wood. With your hands and your creativity. With rhythm, sound and the heartbeat. With the guides, ancestors and intentions you choose to invite into the process. Before we begin creating, we’ll open sacred space together—cleansing and blessing our materials, calling in support, and taking time to listen for the spirit and medicine of the drum that wants to emerge. Then the making begins. There is something powerful about watching raw materials slowly become an instrument beneath your hands. Pull by pull. Knot by knot. Intention by intention. And at the end of the day, you won’t simply leave with a drum you made. You’ll leave with a drum you know. A companion for ceremony. A keeper of prayer. An instrument of rhythm, healing and connection. A heartbeat created by your own hands. 🥁 No previous drum-making or musical experience is necessary.
