Ever wondered how to actually handle yourself if a situation gets sketchy? Or just want to feel more confident and aware walking down the street? It’s time to level up your real-world readiness.
Join us for a high-energy, practical Self-Defense Workshop designed for absolutely everyone!
🥋 The Game Plan
The Brains: We’ll kick off with the why and how—principles of awareness, avoidance, and decision-making under stress.
The Brawn: No boring lectures here. We’ll get moving with a hands-on training component where you'll practice real, effective physical techniques to protect yourself.
The session will last 75 minutes including Q&A time throughout and at the end. The cost is $35 per person.
No experience in Self Defense required to attend! This will be capped at 14 attendees. Please contact us to join the waitlist.
🎓 Meet Your Instructor
The class is led by Sanjay, a Stanford alum who has studied self defense for over 25 years. He has trained under senior practitioners with military, law enforcement, and civilian instructional backgrounds. His approach emphasizes situational awareness, de-escalation, and practical safety considerations rather than sport or competition. He knows his stuff, keeps it engaging, and promises not to break any bones.
🍻 The After Party
You're going to work up an appetite (and a thirst). After we finish sweating, we’re heading to a nearby bar for drinks, laughs, and post-class mingling! Exact bar location TBA soon.
📝 What to Bring / Wear:
• Comfortable workout clothes/sneakers you can move around in. Please note, there are no changing facilities on site other than the bathrooms.
• A water bottle (though this is not intended to be a cardio class, you may get lightly sweaty).
• An awesome attitude.
Please note that drinks after the workshop are not included in the ticket fee.
Please feel free to bring a +1 (need not be Cal alum)! Plus one's need to purchase a ticket as well.
