Mutual Aid vs. Market Systems: Reimagining How Communities Access Produce Without Exploitative Middlemen Join us for an intimate evening of conversation, community, and good food hosted by board members of Connected Chef. Together, we’ll explore what it looks like to build food systems rooted in mutual aid, dignity, and collective care rather than extraction and profit. As food prices rise and access to fresh produce becomes increasingly inequitable, communities are creating new models that challenge traditional supply chains and reconnect people directly to nourishment. This gathering is an opportunity to exchange ideas, share experiences, and imagine alternatives to systems that often leave working families behind. Expect thoughtful conversation with like-minded folks across food justice, organizing, wellness, and community care and off course some delicious food, fresh produce, and space to connect intentionally. Whether you work in this space or are simply curious about the future of equitable food access, you’re welcome at the table. Come build community with us and be part of the conversation around what a people-centered food system can look like. 🌱
