Join us in celebrating two years of Makan. On August 1, Makan turns two. What began as a small independent publishing project has grown into a platform that has brought artists, books, and conversations from the Global South and beyond to readers around the world. None of it would have been possible without the artists, collaborators, readers, collectors, bookstores, institutions, and friends who have believed in this journey. Celebrate with us as part of our Summer Residency at Common Things. Spend time with the books, enjoy a drink, meet the Makan community, and toast to everything we’ve built together—and all that’s still to come. We’d love to celebrate with you.
