🍊 Tangerine Tales: Monthly Book Club Meetup Hey book babes! 💛 Whether you’ve joined us before or are flipping to this chapter for the first time, welcome to Tangerine Tales, the official book club of OC Cuties 📚✨ This month's book is... Shield of Sparrows by Devney Perry! 🐦✨ Make sure to give it a read before our next book club on Friday, August 22 so we can dive into all the drama, romance, and plot twists together. We’re a cozy, low pressure book club for women who love empowering reads, deep convos, and making real friendships over snacks and stories. Think warm vibes, open hearts, and no stress if you didn’t finish (or even start) the book, seriously! We’re not here to assign homework. We’re here to connect. 📖 WHAT IS TANGERINE TALES? Tangerine Tales is a monthly book club hosted in sunny Huntington Beach by OC Cuties 🌞🍊 It’s designed for women who crave stories that empower, enchant, and ignite the heart. Whether you’re into fantasy queens, juicy romances, memoirs that make you cry, or just looking for a soft place to land once a month, we got you. Each month we pick a new book as a group, read it at our own pace, and meet up in person for a cozy potluck style dinner, guided book discussion, and girl time. Even if you haven’t read (or didn’t vibe with) the last book, you’re always welcome to come. 📅 UPCOMING DATES We meet once a month at 6:30 PM in Huntington Beach. Save these dates! • Friday, August 22 • Friday, Sept 26 • Friday, Oct 24 (Exact location is shared privately after RSVP for safety.) 💛 WHO CAN JOIN? • Women only • Come once or every month, no ongoing commitment • Perfect for new members, solo joiners, or anyone nervous about showing up alone (trust us, you won’t feel that way for long!) • Limited spots available each month to keep things cozy and conversational • Can’t make it in person? Join the Tangerine Tales Instagram group chat (link above) for book talk, memes, and community all month long! 💬 WHAT TO EXPECT Before the Meetup: • We vote on a new book monthly (across genres — fantasy, romance, self growth, fiction, and more!) • You’ll get 3 weeks to read (or listen, or skim, or forget until the night before 😅) • The IG group chat stays active with quotes, spicy chapter reactions, and hot takes all month long At the Meetup: • Chill, welcoming vibes! come as you are 💫 • Shared potluck style dinner (bring a small dish or snack to share + your drink of choice) • We provide tea and water • 30–60 minutes of lightly guided book discussion • Icebreakers, deep convos, and time to just hang out with new friends 🧠 DISCUSSION PROMPTS WE ROTATE THROUGH: • Favorite character & why • Biggest surprise or twist • “If you liked this, you’d also like…” • Dream casting the movie version • What this book taught you or made you feel Don’t worry, this isn’t school.
