◔◟◔:◗Join Women's Pride, the Mayor's Office of LGBTQ Affairs and Wild Side Media for a thoughtfully curated conversation on queer allyship in media at The LINE Hotel on June 4.
Monica Alford (founder/CEO of queer-owned media outlet and events company Wild Side Media) will moderate this talk on crucial topics ranging from intersectionality in the media to representational challenges and strategies for positive change.
Our panelists include:
• curator, cultural strategist and creative producer Lee Levingston Perine;
• freelance producer, production coordinator and casting director Candice "CJ" Johnson; and
• Howard University's first trans student body president, Jay Jones.
6-6:30 p.m. Meet our moderator, panelists and other attendees in the atrium of The LINE Hotel while enjoying a complimentary glass of wine and light hors d'oeuvres.
6:30-7:30 p.m. Grab a seat inside The LINE's open-air radio station, Full Service Radio, for a dynamic, live-recorded conversation that includes 15 minutes of audience questions at the end of the talk.
