Visual Memory brings together artists and community members for an evening of art, conversation, and collective reflection.
This edition focuses on displacement as a unifying force across the diaspora. Through visual art, lecture, and dialogue, we ask: what happens when the places that raised us become unrecognizable?
The evening includes:
-A curated community exhibition exploring Black visual memory, displacement, and the traces communities leave behind
-A conversational lecture by Taylor Price, offering historical and cultural context for the work on view
-A panel discussion and salon-style gathering for reflection, exchange, and community dialogue
-A “Bring Your Memory” archival component, where guests are invited to bring a photograph, object, written memory, or offering connected to home or migration.
The full exhibition will be on view June 11–21.
