Opening Reception | Art, Stories & Community
Join us for an evening of art, stories, and community at A Story That Lives Within US: Ada — Volume II, a group exhibition exploring migration, identity, memory, and belonging through contemporary art.
The exhibition brings together 17 artists from diverse cultural backgrounds, sharing reflections on movement, adaptation, family, and the search for home.
Inspired by the fictional immigrant character Ada Lin, the exhibition revisits the experiences of Taiwanese immigrants in New York during the 1980s and 1990s, a time of transformation, challenges, and new beginnings. Through painting, ceramics, fiber art, sound installation, and mixed media, the artists create connections between personal memories and collective histories.
Participating Artists:
Bryan Cordova, Pedro Cuni, Peggy Cheng, Rebecca Hon, Ronald Huang, James Hsieh, Chiya Huang, John Chia Hsuan Kuo, Kiu, Tse-Hsing Liu, Gabrielle Yi-Wen Mar, Munus Shih, I Chin Sung, Moyuru Shiroma, Yalan Wen, Sherry Yang, and Ashton Yeh.
Come meet artists, connect with the community, and celebrate stories that continue to shape New York’s cultural landscape.
