This body of work was born from a dream—each piece a fragment of that world where animals lead us back to our wild. Adorned in florals and touched with gold, they speak of transformation, magic, and the beauty that lives in nature and within ourselves. Created during a season of homecoming, this series is a quiet celebration of reconnection—to freedom, to the living landscape, and to the wild spirit within.
Mckenna is a contemporary wildlife painter based in Santa Barbara, California. Her work is bold, vibrant and captures the energy and spirit of wildlife and nature.
She is drawn to the magic of art—its power to connect us to beauty, wonder, and the wild—and creates pieces that invite viewers to pause, escape the noise of daily life, and reconnect with the natural world.
