Building the New Space Economy  - #SFTechWeek

The first era of commercial space was about getting to orbit. The next is about what we do once we’re there. A new space economy is taking shape: built around dynamic space operations, on-orbit manufacturing, servicing, robotics, and infrastructure. And as the space domain becomes increasingly contested, the ability to rapidly maneuver, service, reposition, assemble, and ultimately de-orbit spacecraft is emerging as a new pillar of national security. The advantage will belong to whoever can respond fastest in orbit. Katalyst is building for this next era of space by helping transform orbit from a place where we deploy assets into a place where we can actively build, maintain, and evolve them. Join Katalyst during SF Tech Week for an evening bringing together venture investors, founders, and space leaders to explore the technologies and business models that could define the next chapter of the space economy. Katalyst CEO Ghonhee Lee will kick off the evening with a short perspective from the commercial space industry and will be joined by partners to discuss where space is headed, and where the biggest opportunities may be hiding. This event is a part of #SFTechWeek—a week of events hosted by VCs and startups to bring together the tech ecosystem. Learn more at www.tech-week.com.
