🤸‍♂️when was the last time the ground met you? tumbleweed you, flung forward, caught in the arms of grassy wet to be treadmarked by life. cut your nails, free your feet, and come play.🦶 WHAT IS ROUGHHOUSING: in short, we play and roughhouse in Prospect Park for ~2hrs. i try to offer you permission to: play like a kid at recess, get dirty, feel tough, be tough, giggle, howl, make up games, be surprised by your body, wrestle, make friends, practice attunement, feel spent, & smile at a new bruise ;). Here’s what happens: - 15min - Settling Meditation, lying or sitting down on grass. - 5min - Olivia explains what roughhousing is & people lightly intro. - 40min - Olivia leads a range of warm-up partner & trio games that get us attuned & connected to each others movement. - 1hr / rest of time - we tend to spontaneously create a bunch of games befitting to the group and have a lot of fun with it !!!! people can leave at any point when they are tired. BEFORE SESSION: - 👟 bring clothes u can get dirty in - 💧 bring water, eat beforehand - 💅🏼cut ur nails so u don’t scratch ROUGHHOUSING RULES: 1) WE DON’T WIN: …if we aren’t connected. this isn’t about winning for the sake of winning, but to play in connection with each other. 2) WE TOUCH: this space involves forms of “contact”! that may look like tugging ropes, tapping shoulders, or even full-on wrestling. pick your poison - you don’t have to do it all. 3) COME AS YOU ARE: you don’t have to self-identify as “good at contact sports” or “athletic” — you just have to be open & semi-comfortable to the possibility of playing a few games in this style (I promise I will warm you up!). within every duo or group of people — irregardless of ability — there is game to be had. find it! this is the art of play. message / call olivia (650)-799-9174 w any questions ❤️
