This garden is being thoughtfully designed as a restorative, sensory-rich space for the students and staff of Lokrantz Special Education Center. Serving students with diverse disabilities, the campus deserves an outdoor environment that is not only accessible, but deeply nurturing.
The garden will offer a calm, immersive experience, filled with fragrant plantings, gentle movement, and moments of discovery. It’s a place where students can connect with nature in a way that feels safe, engaging, and meaningful. Think butterflies drifting through the air, textures to explore, and quiet corners that invite presence and ease.
This isn’t just a garden, it’s an extension of the learning environment and a space for joy, regulation, and connection.
Join us for a hands-on day of building something truly special. Volunteers will help bring the garden to life, from spreading soil and mulch to planting and placing key elements that shape the space. It’s physical, collaborative work, but also deeply rewarding. You’ll leave knowing you helped create a lasting environment that students will experience every day.
Expect a day that’s equal parts productive and uplifting, with a shared sense of purpose and tangible impact.
