A few months ago, I decided that in order to feel like I’ve actually watched all the movies, I should watch them year by year, starting with the year 2000. I created a list of 45 of the most popular films and watched 35 of them over the course of six weeks. You can find the list(s) on my Letterboxd @BRMC. This month's list is linked in the description.
But then I thought, you know what would be fun? Including my friends, family, and strangers on the internet! Enter: the Inglourious Filmsters Movie Club (a play on my favorite film of all time, Inglourious Basterds, obviously). Having seen Quentin Tarantino’s masterpiece is not required to be a movie club member, but it is highly encouraged.
So, for each installment every ~ six weeks, we’ll watch a movie from 2000, then 2001, then 2002, etc. Ideally, I’ll select a few I think will be enjoyable for everyone, and then we’ll vote (over on tiktok!).
Logistics:
Before the start time, I’ll update this invite with a link to a Teleparty party. You’ll need to download the Chrome extension prior to joining and sign in to the streaming service we'll be watching from. We'll live chat as we watch the movie synchronized!
