Tisha B'Av is the heaviest day on the Jewish calendar.
It's a day of communal fasting, mourning and prayer for destruction that comes at the hands of oppressors, and also from our own actions.
In the midst of heat, flood and smoke,
We come together to hold what we can't hold alone. Please meet us in Grand Army Plaza, Prospect Park, Brooklyn at 7pm Wednesday July 22, for a meditation, a short reading and a sharing circle. All levels of Jewish, Jew-ish and non-Jewish are welcome.

מ From above [God] sent a fire
Down into my bones,
Then spread a net for my feet
And hurled me backward—
Leaving me forlorn,
In constant misery. (Book of Lamentations)
