¬‿¬Friends, it is going down. It’s time to slap a bow on it and make it official. Ben and Olivia, the wedding ceremony, Hawaii; it’s happening. Hawaii is a special place. Olivia and I were extremely fortunate to have been able to live and work in Hawaii for six glorious weeks in the summer of 2022. And, now, we are coming back with a vengeance; albeit, a joyful vengeance. And if you are able, we invite you to join the ride.
The ceremony itself will be non-traditional and incorporate garments designed and personalized to reflect our individual styles while referencing and venerating the setting and culture of Hawaii. We are working together with the support of talented artists to create an event that highlights the magic and the beauty of the place. Finding ourselves in Hawaii for six weeks was a fantasy we had never entertained. For us, Hawaii represents a beautiful and unexpected gift we received. Returning now, after the trials of 2023, is the appropriate flourish marking the official recognition of our love. A love not beholden to a document, but something professed and sanctified by friends, fashion, and fresh fruit, in a garden in literal paradise.
Want to soak in a little more of the Hawaiian vibes? The wedding party will arrive 4/25. Arrive early for the wedding, and on 4/26 and 4/27, join us for a day of South Kona fun. Or stay a few days after the ceremony for more shenanigans around the Big Island and maybe island hopping to Oahu for a couple more days. If interested, please check out the attached google doc for activities and sights we will be visiting.
RSVP “yes” if you are definitely coming to Hawaii to attend any of the festivities. RSVP “maybe” if you are considering attending, so we can start including you in our plans and keep you updated via text as details coalesce.
If you’re receiving this invitation, we love you and would love for you to be part of our Hawaii adventure. But obviously, time and money are not infinite and there won’t be any hard feelings if you can’t make it for the grand finale of our transpacific wedding tour.
