Hear how three PhDs went from academia to running companies.
We're opening the night with a talk from Tanishq Mathew Abraham, who finished his PhD at 19, led research at Stability AI, founded MedARC, and is now CEO and co-founder of Sophont, building open multimodal foundation models for medicine.
Then Rosemary He and Varuni Sarwal, UCLA CS PhDs and co-founders of TriFetch, take the stage. TriFetch is building vertical AI for healthcare: an automation platform that takes the administrative work off specialty clinics so staff can focus on patients.
All three will share what the jump from academia to startup actually looked like. Expect candid talks, real Q&A, and plenty of time to meet the founders afterward.
We especially welcome researchers, PhD students, recent grads, engineers, operators, and investors who are thinking about what comes next. Bring a question, a project, or an idea you're weighing.
If you're curious about joining TriFetch or working with us, this is a great opportunity to meet the team and explore whether it's a good fit.
