Imagine My Bloody Valentine but Fred Again… or actually Jay Chou. or all three of them combined. That’s DAWGAZE (D.A.W. + Shoegaze), and the latest era that self-proclaimed honorary Filipino (but really just San Diegan) Sherman Xu (aka Sake by the Water) is on. This might be the last time you catch him at the Motel Cafe, so if you don’t feel like paying $16K at the Fonda Theatre (that's the cost to see Sir Paul McCartney) just come to B-Side, eh?
Wesley Jay likes to journal, travels a bit (Seattle, Albuquerque, NYC) and sometimes hit LACMA or the New Beverly next door. It's a lifestyle, but out of all the hippie thing he does, he don't need acid anymore cause he’s got himself a rubber bridge baritone guitar. So if you come on time, you might get your ears gently rubbed by it... and his silky voice (and silkier face)
and lastly we have all-lowercase chiabiee. She usually plays with a 12-piece jazz(y) band, but I told her I have a digestion problem so she’s keeping it organic with a 100% vegan chia seed set (that is an unplugged acoustic set.) We're really counting on her to make everyone smile and have fun.
IDK WHAT MORE YOU CAN ASK FOR than goode ol live music and handsome pweetie friends. maybe bring extra towels for drip and tears… and you never know when you might need them at the motel.
