Breath - Sound - Awareness
Immerse yourself in sound and soothe your mind and body with conscious breathing.
A sound bath is a multisensory, full-body listening experience. It facilitates connection, both emotionally and energetically. It can deepen and strengthen not only our relationship with ourselves, but the residue of the practice can reverberate into our relationships with others. Leaving us more open to the world around us and everything in it.
This experience is enhanced by both crystal and Tibetan metal singing bowls along with various other bells and chimes. Theses instruments create a range of sounds to restore the normal vibratory frequencies of parts of the body and mind that have found their way out of sync.
This experience will begin with a short, grounding meditation followed by a breathwork practice. Breathwork helps us to connect to and channel our energy to prepare us for our listening journey.
After the meditation, there will be time for students to share their experiences, ask any questions, or reflect on their own in a journal.
**Some Helpful Tips**
- Please bring a blanket, mat, pillows, or anything else that will allow you to be comfortable sitting and lying down for an extended period of time.
- During meditation our body temperature tends to drop, so come dressed in layers. Socks, a sweatshirt, or an extra blanket are good options.
- An experience like this can turn your brain on receiving mode, so having a journal or notebook close by is a great way to be able to record anything that comes up for you or any thoughts you might have afterward.
- Come with an open mind : )
About the Teacher:
Kristin has been teaching yoga, movement, and meditation for 10 years. As a 500-hour RYT, she has trained in the Ashtanga and Forrest yoga lineages. She also has over a hundred hours of continuing education in mobility, Yoga for Creativity, meditation, breathwork, and advanced anatomy. Her intention-driven yoga classes combine moments of Vinyasa with the depth and intensity of Hatha, along with functional movement drills and breathwork. Her meditation classes draw from both Yogic philosophies and Zen Buddhism. Breathwork is the thread that weaves these practices—and life itself—together, whether integrated into other modalities or taught as a standalone practice. With a deep connection to music and sound, she uses various instruments to enhance meditation and breathwork sessions, deepening and expanding her students' experiences.
She believes in pairing these ancient practices with modern scientific knowledge to help people build their own toolbox for thriving in today's fast-paced world. A core part of her teaching is sharing the roots of the practices she has studied, while holding reverence and respect for the cultures and people who birthed these traditions. Their wisdom is a gift.
