New York is losing an icon, and it's our duty to celebrate Her. 🕊️Your attendance is requested for a celebration of life for our beloved Soho REI. A beloved pee spot to many. An familiar landmark to all those embarking on the F train. Dare we say, the crown jewel of Broadway & Lafayette...? Well, we hate to be the ones to break this news if you haven't heard, but our Queen Mother has finally been giving her resting date. While we don't know what the future holds for 309 Lafayette St, we know we'll gather outside her doorstep and give her the sendoff she deserves. Wear black. Bring flowers or relevant tributes. DM us if you'd like to submit a speech. (Prompt: what is the impact the SOHO REI has had on your life?) We'll have programs, speeches, and a moving musical performance. Gather. Mourn. FEEL. Be in community. We're timing this for the closing hours of the store, but exactly time TBA when we know if they're closing early, etc. (In all seriousness, this will be the last day for many workers at the store, and we're going to shower them with appulause and support on their last day <3)
