Let me set the vibe for you - you wake up, alarm blaring after a night out on the town. A smile softens your face as you remember the movie-like evening you had with your girls, when suddenly you realize you’re late for the J.Ehren fashion show! In true 2000s rom-com style, you throw on the cuntiest little number and some knee-high leather boots, and rush out the door. Today calls for an Uber - you’ve earned it. Your car travels swiftly through the busy SF streets and arrives on the dot, dropping you off at the grand entrance of the Proper Hotel. You see a gaggle of baddies headed toward the elevator. You made it. A breath of relief escapes your lips as you put on some cherry ChapStick and wait for the final floor to appear. Once you’re there, you’re received by an excited crowd, all drinking mimosas and enjoying charcuterie - “what the hell,” you say, and grab one too. You take your seat, a vintage pink velvet armchair. The show begins. ---------------------------------------------------------- On a serious note, this show is in honor of AAPI month. With equity as the forethought, this runway will highlight the diversity we see within the AAPI community, and platform the individuals who make our city so beautiful. I encourage everyone to find creative ways to contrirbute to communities outside of your own as that is how true understanding, empathy and equality will form.
