Amundsen Sports spends an evening with renowned mountaineer Eric Gilbertson on the heels of his admittance to the Explorer’s Club.
Gilbertson is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering and MIT PhD who is climbing the highest point in every country (currently 153/196). He was recently featured in the New York Times for his peak elevation surveys around the world. He has almost 100 first ascents, summited K2 with no supplemental oxygen, and he most recently attempted the high point of Yemen in February.
The evening will follow the format of a 45 minute interview starting at 7pm followed by a short Q&A with the audience. This event is free and open to the first 40 people to register. Drinks and snacks provided.
