CANTEMOS Fall Gathering: “Akinananti” Authentic Voice Activation Workshop and Sacred Song Circle by Arcana De Amor (www.ArcanaDeAmor.com) In the Shipibo language, the word ‘Akinananti’ stands for the work done together with love and joy – a practice and a way of life rooted in reciprocity, interconnectedness and mutual aid, where individual wellbeing is inseparable from collective and environmental balance, for the flourishing of life and community. What have we been tending these past few months? What are we ready to harvest together? And what might we be ready to let fall away with love and joy? In the spirit of Akinananti, please join us for a sacred music workshop and participatory singing circle where everyone can share their unique voice through healing music. Sacred song circles are an ancient practice that invite us to drop our defenses and fears and to connect to ourselves. After the summer hiatus, CANTEMOS is bringing together our community again with new energy and fresh inspiration – ready to soar to new heights through co-weaving of music, song, chants, movement, and to resonate in deep soul-level connection and communion with The Divine within. Through the sweet inner alchemy of voice activation, you will be able to cultivate openness, intimacy, and harmony as a shared experience in a supportive and accepting space. You are welcome to come for any part of the evening or to stay for the entire day’s program. In the earlier part of the evening, we’ll be guided to open our voices, drop deep into inner stillness, and focus on getting in touch with your authentic expression, improvisation and play. In the second part after the break, we’ll shift into a powerful collective vibration, where our voices resonate ecstatically with joy and unity. Throughout this immersive experience, we all will become part of the music. You’ll have an opportunity to sing together, to learn new songs, and share your sacred song individually. You will also be able to join in if you bring the acoustic instrument you play. All skill levels are welcome and no previous experience is necessary.
