For one day only, this exhibition presents self-portraits in oil painting and drawing that span twenty years of Tatyana Fazlalizadeh’s career. Known for her powerful public art addressing the experiences of women and Black people in public space, Fazlalizadeh here turns inward, using self-portraiture to explore intimacy, identity, and presence as a Black, queer woman. This self-funded show celebrates both her work and her milestone birthday in Brooklyn, a city she calls one of the great loves of her life. 3PM - show opens to the public. 7PM - artist talk 8PM - DJ party + wish me a happy birthday!
