Created and co-hosted by Shannon Mustipher—spirits educator, author of the award-winning Tiki: Modern Tropical Cocktails, and recipient of the 2020 Tales of the Cocktail Pioneer Award—alongside Your Only Friend’s Paul Taylor and Sherra Kurtz, the evening celebrates Southern fish fries, juke joint culture, and Black American hospitality at D.C.’s beloved sandwich and cocktail bar. Come hungry for a Southern seafood feast with a little heat and a few surprises—think buttery deviled Gulf blue crab, golden fried fish, and a sweet finish worth saving room for. A progression of Planteray Rum cocktails accompanies the feast, bringing punches, refreshing long drinks, and rich, spirit-forward serves to the table.
