Audiences will get the unique opportunity to hear her new album titled Truth Translator in community, BEFORE ITS OFFICIAL RELEASE! During this Sound Session, Ms. Seales will share exclusive insight on her production process, dive into the lyrics, & expound on topics and themes the album speaks to, and will with a Q&A. Merch will also be for sale. After a 15-year hiatus, Amanda Seales has returned to her musical roots. Updating her former moniker, Amanda Diva with 2.0, she has also updated her skillset adding production to her trademark jazzy vocals, and insightful lyricism. Sonically this project is as much a call to arms as a balm to the nervous system, blending up tempo rhythms alongside melodic vibes. Spanning the musical spectrum, it defies genre, invoking 90s hip hop, deep house, roots reggae, and more; a bountiful garden of bass heavy beats steeped in boom bap biodiversity. Lyrically, the artistic intellectual does what the title proclaims; deftly deconstructing complex political ideologies, educating through an expanded and deepened historical geo-political lens, and espousing unwavering love for her Blackness, her womanhood, and her Black womanhood. These are not just records to jam to, they are tracks that seek to inspire, inform, and empower all who listen to commit to projecting and protecting truth as the way to collective liberation.
