Roosevelt Island is often referred to as NYC's hidden gem, or, according to TripAdvisor, "An oasis of peace amid Manhattan’s hustle and bustle". Let's take a break from the hectic pace of the city and spend a couple of hours in tranquility, taking in stunning views of the city while learning about the incredibly rich history of Roosevelt Island! Sunset is scheduled for 8:30 pm, so we will be taking a break around 8:15 at the Theodore Roosevelt Island National Memorial to take in the breathtaking views during sunset. Meeting place: We will meet on the Island in front of the Visitor Center located at the Tramway Plaza at 7 pm sharp. If you are taking the tram to the island, I recommend allowing at least 20 minutes to get to the island. There can be long lines at times! The first 10 people who register (and show up for the event!) will receive exclusive Trybal NYC swag, so be sure to register early! I (Lauren) will be conducting the tour. Please be mindful of this if you're trying to contact me during the event! Late arrivals might have difficulty finding our group, so please plan to arrive on time. *We will be doing a lot of walking, so please wear comfortable shoes! I also highly suggest bringing a bottle of water. After the tour, there will be an option to grab drinks at a bar on the island as a group - standby for details as it gets closer to 6/20!
