Join GovLab (Harvard's GovTech Startup Incubator), Madeleine Smith (Founder & CEO of Civic Roundtable), Santiago Garces (CIO of Boston), Stephen Brakow (Technology Partnerships at Anthropic) and Prat Mallick (Principal at Xfund) for a debate on the future of AI governance. The event commences with a conversation between panelists, followed by a live audience debate on the following topics: - Should the US government take steps to ensure that the dividends of AI benefit all Americans? - Does open source AI drive innovation or threaten public and national safety? - Should frontier labs be allowed to self-regulate? - Should US defense and intelligence agencies be given unchecked access to new model releases? -Should the US implement universal basic income?
