Raving meets therapy at this recurring dance event aiming to build community around the spiritual healing power of electronic dance music.
New York City’s raves typically run 11pm-4am and often take place deep in Bushwick, which often isn’t doable for people with responsibilities like children and work. This event is designed to allow people to get a solid couple of hours of dancing and still be in bed by midnight.
The event welcomes everyone, and especially parents of young kids. Parents aren’t typically seen as people who go to raves, but they need it the most, because the demands of parenting are intense and never-ending. As a parent, there’s nothing better than having a few hours after the weekend is over to recharge with dance.
The DJ at our inaugural event is Uma DJ: https://on.soundcloud.com/qLc8eF8RWerjihAsB5 We saw her play at Good Room, where she knocked it out of the park.
We’ll bring a subwoofer to enhance the Young Ethel's PA systems, a haze machine, and we'll have foam earplugs available for free at the door for anyone who needs them.
Come ready to dance!
