Songwriting Sanctuary is a safe haven for those of us sitting on half-finished tracks and messy voice notes. This isn't an open mic or a critique-heavy workshop—it’s a focused space to get your songs unstuck and moving toward the finish line.
How it works:
We pull 10 names out of the hat. Those lucky folk get to vulnerably perform their newly or unfinished tune for the group. They'll each receive constructive feedback from expert mentors and join in the wider conversation about the craft of songwriting so that everyone in the room gains insights to apply to their own work and process.
The Objective:
Refine the Craft: Learn specific tools to take a raw idea to a fully realized work.
Learn from experts: Peek into the creative process of established songwriters who openly share their methods, insights, and feedback.
Peer Connection: Build a network of supportive songwriters committed to the evolution of their craft alongside you. Songwriting Sanctuary folk are known to frequent the shows of other members to support and deepen these connections.
What to bring:
- One song in progress (instrumental, lyrics, or a voice note).
- Your instrument.
- A notebook.
