A grill transmits from somewhere it shouldn’t. Lawn furniture adjusts the atmosphere. A garden gnome has developed an interior life. Throughout the space, sound, projection, light, and screens respond to what people do. For one night, CUL-DE-SAC 404 is rebuilding The Backyard inside Recording Club: interactive sculpture, peculiar rooms, responsive audiovisual systems, and DJs from doors until close. Part exhibition, part party, part neighborhood malfunction. There is no correct route or puzzle to complete. Wander, dance, experience. Some things answer immediately. Some don’t answer at all. You are not expected to find everything.
