STOP1 September Summer is ending, but the story is not over. Stop1 returns to Honey's with two stages filled with local legends for a night of wonky house, leftfield techno, and warm inclusive vibes. The Roof: Rila and Iggy Nuclear open the roof with a mix of minimal house and techno, dubby textures, and expertly crafted blends. Music for the heads. Techno Maestro S'aint Panic plays peak time on the roof spinning soulful house to mind-altering techno. A staple of queer nightlife in NYC, the only thing to expect is a masterclass in the unexpected. Aria Pash is playing the roof weaving together techno, house, and acid, threading groove and texture through each beat. Look forward to a communal ecstatic experience that is equal parts playful and dark. Kettle, founder of Stop1, closes out the roof, digging deep in his record bag for a mix of house, techno, soul, and disco. His sets lead the dancefloor into a state of grace and trance. The Bar: Miarisua, a Ukrainian-born, Brooklyn-based DJ, opens the bar in a hypnotic blend of psychedelic soundscapes, trance-driven beats, and groovy tech-house textures, interlaced with dynamic breakbeats. Terra Magra and Akira, founders of Wife Inspection, go b2b. Look forward to a set of wonky house, techno, and sonic experiments. For divas only. Nick Boyd, founder of the NYC label Sorry Records, pairs old-school house and techno sounds with a more new-school kitchen-sink mentality. He plays with reverence but without idolatry, paying homage to his favorite scenes without tying himself to them. Expect skill, energy, and a touch of sonic insanity. On the vibe: Stop1 is open and welcoming. Whether it's your first dance music event or you're a regular at every club in the city, you belong here.
