Chelsea Table + Stage welcomes acclaimed coloratura soprano Lindsey Johr for I Can Cook Too: A Celebration of Barbara Cook on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 7 p.m., a heartfelt musical tribute to one of Broadway's most cherished legends.
At a time when contemporary musical theater often favors powerhouse vocals and spectacle, Johr celebrates the enduring elegance, storytelling, and vocal artistry that made Barbara Cook a defining interpreter of the American songbook. Known for her radiant soprano and emotionally rich performances, Johr has been praised for reaching "glass-shattering heights" by Florida Theatre On Stage, while EDGE Miami declared, "Her performance is what you will walk away remembering."
Starring Lindsey Johr and featuring special guest performances from Broadway’s Sean McDermott (Miss Saigon, Falsettos, Starlight Express, Grease, Chicago, and West Side Story), the West End’s Erich W. Schleck (Blippi, Jesus Christ Superstar), The Duplex Cabaret’s Samantha Streich, and Laurence London, with music direction, arrangements, accompaniment, and original lyrics by award-winning composer-lyricist, writer, pianist, and music director Danny K.
