Explore veganism as a spiritual practice! Our monthly gatherings include discussions on veganism and spirituality, moral support, guided meditations, and delicious potluck vegan food.
Our guest speaker is Lisa Levinson – the Campaigns Director for In Defense of Animals, founder of Vegan Spirituality, and co-founder of the Interfaith Vegan Coalition. Lisa will speak on the history of the Vegan Spirituality movement and will guide a discussion about how spiritual connection can help support a thriving vegan lifestyle.
LOCATION
We'll gather at Fortuna Ranch Farm Sanctuary, a 2.5-acre home for rescued farm animals to live with dignity, love, and space to roam. The property has a lovely and large space for vegan weddings, which is where we'll be gathering.
PARKING
Upon arrival, please park along Fortuna's side of the street (it's a corner lot) or in the driveway spaces at the house and barn. We will keep an eye out to assist with parking as needed.
OPTIONAL 5:00 PM FARM TOUR
If you are interested in a tour with the animals and the gardens, please arrive at 5 pm wearing closed-toed shoes and complete the waiver in advance: https://www.fortunaranchfarmsanctuary.com/waiver

POTLUCK & WHAT TO BRING
Please bring:
- A vegan dish to share. Vegan desserts are especially appreciated!
- Your own plate, cup, and utensils
- An open heart
We'll have extra plates and utensils available if needed.
Important: Please bring a hearty dish that serves 4–8 people rather than a snack or beverage, so there's plenty of food for everyone.
In the spirit of compassion and respect for animals, we ask that all food be vegan and that attendees refrain from wearing animal products.
For food, this means no meat, poultry, fish, dairy, eggs, butter, or honey. Please check ingredient labels carefully.
For clothing, this means no leather, fur, wool, down, silk, or other animal-derived materials.
We are actively seeking homes for future gatherings. If you'd like be our next host and have a space large enough for at least 30 people, please email Devi at veganspirituality@devidaly.com.
We hope you'll join us in helping to build our new Vegan Spirituality community in San Diego! We already have vibrant sister communities in Los Angeles, New York City, Philadelphia, and Western Pennsylvania.
We look forward to sharing delicious food, inspiring conversation, and compassionate living together.
