The Nobel Prize in Chemistry being won by AlphaFold marks this intersection of progress - AI and Biology - as one of the most fertile and promising early research directions in an indelible transition to science mediated by artificial intelligence. Even though it's critical, but professionals in AI and Biology come into contact too rarely to share their knowledge intimately. We're here to change that. Introducing the AI for Biological Science Hackathon!! We'll hear from Andrew White of Future House on AI Agents for Biology, founders in the intersection of AI and biology, Jeremy Nixon of Omniscience on paper writing and lit review for Bio, and come together to build projects that we hope can seed companies, direct novel discoveries, and move the needle on this epochal frontier. The singular promise - each attendee must produce a worthy Bio x AI demo! We encourage projects in: * Protein Structure prediction and design * Genomics and genetic engineering * Small molecule drug discovery * Automation of lab processes / experimentation * Medical diagnostic and personalized medicines * Healthcare tech (e.g., in-hospital aids) * Metagenomics & microbial analysis * Bioengineering and synthetic biology * Sequencing technologies & interpretation Grad students are especially encouraged to apply!
