Investing in Art — A Q&A with Joy Wang
Joy Wang is a Trustee of the Institute of Fine Arts at NYU and a member of NYU's President's Global Council. Her path into collecting runs through finance and real estate — from screening fund managers for family office TAG Associates to years in international business development and strategic alliances — before turning that same eye toward building a personal art collection.
Join us for an intimate afternoon inside Joy's home, surrounded by real work from her collection. We'll talk through how she started collecting, what she looks for when acquiring a piece, the mistakes she'd tell a first-time buyer to avoid — then open it up for you to ask her directly.
A collector's living room with wine and canapés. The kind of access you don't usually get before the work ends up in a museum.
