Join us for “Dear Mother,” a writing workshop + open mic” on Mother's Day. We will explore the often complex relationships with our mothers and mother figures as we embark on a journey of self-expression guided by a prompt + mediation exercise. We will honor the joys, challenges and heartfelt moments that make up motherhood and mother-child relationships. This will end in an open mic, where participants can either share what they wrote in the workshop or something they have written in the past. As we come together to celebrate Mother's Day, we will acknowledge the diverse narratives that shape our understanding of motherhood. Whether you're a parent, child, or simply someone who appreciates the power of storytelling, "Dear Mother" welcomes you to join us for an evening of connection, reflection, and shared humanity.
