Limited edition mugs will be for sale! Each one is a collaboration between Julia Haft-Candell and students of The Infinite School. All proceeds go to The Infinite School scholarships.
The Infinite School is an in-person, experimental studio that seeks to create space outside of academia for communal ceramic education, fostering an independent, supportive, and alternative system of learning. The curriculum finds a balance between technique and experimentation, focusing on processes that are typically reserved for academic settings, for example working at a large scale and mixing glazes, bypassing any reliance on these spaces and their traditional gatekeepers.
AMBOS: Art Made Between Opposite Sides is a femme-led binational artist collaborative that works along the U.S./Mexico border to build migrant support systems through craft, care, and mutual aid to advance pro-migrant narratives in the U.S. and Mexico. Founded in 2016 by the artist Tanya Aguiñiga as a way to make visible issues that affect the transnational population in Tijuana, the project has grown organically in scale and scope in reaction to a changing border landscape.
