I'M HEADLINING!!! YIPPEEEEE!!!!!!!!
Between the shadows of indie rock and the glow of alt-pop, alternative artist Fiona Hewes is back to deliver with a new set of emotionally rich songs about the different complexities love and life have brought her. The Boston native artist is making her long-awaited comeback after a six-year break from music. Her previous EP, “8:10,” showcases the many adversities and setbacks she and many other teens face as they grow up. After a six-year gap, Hewes is back with a brand new outlook on life, with her sophomore EP titled “Six Stages of Grief.” Throughout the project, there are themes of family relationships in “Mommy Issues” and “I Love Boston,” showcasing Hewes reflecting on her childhood and how it has shaped her to become the person she has grown into throughout her twenties. Fiona’s beloved producer, Aakash NS, has done a phenomenal job bringing life to the songs written initially on Hewes’s childhood bedroom and Toronto apartment floors. OG fans might hear a familiar sound in the lead single “My Luck Isn’t The Greatest,” as it was initially on Hewes’s debut EP, and has been reworked into the alt-rock hit it is today. To keep following along with her work, follow her TikTok and Instagram under the username Fiona.gh, along with her music Instagrams Fionahewes and Fionaheweshq. She has much more to offer, so stick around.
