Unheard Frequencies pairs a film screening with a live audio showcase — one night only, inside YouTooCanWoo, the studio where the film's sound was born.
We're screening The Life, our narrative short set in Flushing about a Chinese woman juggling sex work and a serious romance, alongside an audio presentation of anonymous interviews with sex workers that inspired the short film and a feature-length project.
Then David walks us through how the film's ATMOS mix was built, before we open it up for a Q&A.
Plus a solo acoustic set by Deidre Muro, and DJ Rockstar spinning songs of female empowerment, sexual liberation, and emancipation.
Come share a speakeasy-style night with fellow New Yorkers. Spots are limited — RSVP to hold yours.
