The Surrogate Courthouse is a National Historic Landmark. Since 1899, this active courthouse has been a symbol of the Beaux art style, an architectural movement that has its roots in French neoclassic tradition, and reverberated throughout the American Northeast in the 19th and 20th centuries.

DIONYSUS EVENTS TERMS OF SERVICE  These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (hereinafter referred to as “You” or “Your”) and Dionysus Group, LLC (“Company,” “We,” “Us,” or “Our”). These Terms govern and apply to any and all events, experiences, activations, gatherings, or functions of any kind that are hosted, produced, promoted, operated, or affiliated with the Company, whether ticketed or non-ticketed, and regardless of location, date, or format (each and collectively, an “Event”). BY PURCHASING A TICKET AND/OR ATTENDING THE EVENT, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND UNCONDITIONALLY AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS IN THEIR ENTIRETY. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE OT THESE TERMS, DO NOT PURCHASE TICKETS TO OR ATTEND OUR EVENTS. 1. ALL TICKET SALES ARE FINAL. No refunds will be provided under any circumstances, including but not limited to: event cancellation, event rescheduling, Your inability to attend, dissatisfaction with the Event, ejection from the Event, or any other reason whatsoever. 2. If the Event is rescheduled, postponed, or cancelled, Your sole and exclusive remedy shall be either: a. entry to the Event on the rescheduled date; or, b. credit for a future event. 3. If the Event is rescheduled or postponed, Your ticket remains valid for the rescheduled date. 4. If the Event is cancelled, You must contact Us at events@dionysusnyc.com in order to receive any credit for a future event. 5. You expressly agree not to initiate any chargebacks, payment reversals, or similar actions with Your credit card company or financial institution against Us related to any ticket purchase. Any such action constitutes a material breach of these Terms. 6. In the event You initiate a chargeback, payment reversal, or similar action with Your credit card company or financial institution against Us related to any ticket purchase, You agree to be liable for the total amount of the ticket(s), plus any and all associated fees, costs, and expenses incurred in responding to and contesting such action, including without limitation chargeback fees, processing fees, and legal expenses. 7. Tickets may be transferred to another individual who meets all entry requirements, subject to the terms and conditions set forth herein. 8. All ticket transfers must be completed through the designated ticket platform or by contacting events@dionysusnyc.com. Transfers completed through unauthorized channels will not be recognized or honored. 9. We reserve the right to require the name, email address, phone number, and other identifying information of any individual to whom a ticket is transferred. Both the  original purchaser and the transferee are responsible for ensuring this information is accurate and complete. 10. To prevent fraud and unauthorized resale, We may implement additional verification measures for transferred tickets, including but not limited to: a. requiring the original purchaser to be present at entry; b. limiting the number of transfers per ticket; c. requiring additional verification steps for the transferee; d. cancelling tickets that have been transferred in violation of these Terms. 11. The Event is strictly 21 years of age and older. No exceptions will be made under any circumstances. 12. Valid government-issued photo identification is required for entry to the Event. No exceptions will be made under any circumstances. Photocopies, digital images, expired identification, or damaged/illegible identification will not be accepted. Acceptable forms of identification include: a. U.S. State-issued driver’s license b. U.S. State-issued identification card c. Government-issued passport d. Military identification card 13. We reserve the right, in Our sole discretion, to: a. verify the authenticity of any identification presented; b. require additional forms of identification if deemed necessary; c. refuse entry to the Event if identification is missing, invalid, expired, does not match the ticket holder, or appears altered, fraudulent, or otherwise suspicious.  14. The following items are strictly prohibited at the Event: a. weapons of any kind; b. illegal substances; c. outside food or beverages; d. professional cameras or recording equipment (unless specifically authorized); e. animals other than a service animal as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act; f. Any other items deemed dangerous or inappropriate by Us or any venue personnel.  15. The following activities are strictly prohibited at the Event: a. unauthorized vending or solicitation; b. distribution of promotional materials; c. unauthorized professional photography or recording; d. any illegal activity; e. any activity that disrupts the event or endangers others. 16. Possession of prohibited items or engagement in prohibited activities will result in immediate removal from the event without refund and may result in legal action.  17. There may be a dress code for the Event provided in the Event description. Failure to comply with the dress code, in Our sole and absolute discretion, will be grounds for denial of entry to or removal from the Event. 18. We reserve the absolute and unqualified right to deny entry to the Event or to remove any person from the Event for any reason whatsoever, in Our sole and absolute discretion, including but not limited to: a. intoxication or visible impairment due to alcohol or drugs; b. disorderly, unsafe, threatening, harassing, or other inappropriate behavior; c. failure to follow instructions from staff, venue personnel, or security; d. violation of these Terms or of venue rules; e. possession of prohibited items; f. engagement in prohibited activities; g. violation of any applicable law or regulation. 19. Denial of entry to or removal from the Event for any reason will not entitle You to a refund, credit, or any other form of compensation. 20. YOU VOLUNTARILY ASSUME ALL RISKS, HAZARDS, AND DANGERS INCIDENT TO ATTENDING THE EVENT, whether occurring prior to, during, or after the Event, including but not limited to: a. physical injury or property damage; b. exposure to crowds and loud music; c. consumption of alcohol; d. weather conditions; e. actions or omissions of other attendees; f. any other risks associated with attending such events. 21. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YOU HEREBY RELEASE, WAIVE, DISCHARGE, AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE Us, the venue, their respective owners, directors, officers, employees, contractors, agents, representatives, sponsors, and affiliates (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by You or to any property belonging to You, while attending or participating in the Event, regardless of whether such loss is caused by the negligence of the Released Parties. 22. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any and all claims, demands, causes of actions, losses, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs) arising out of or in connection with: a. Your attendance at the Event; b. Your violation(s) of these Terms or any applicable law; c. Your violation(s) of the rights of any third party; d. Any harm or injury caused by You to any person or property.  23. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE RELEASED PARTIES BE LAIBLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR ATTENDANCE AT THE EVENT, EVEN IF THE ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. THE TOTAL LIABILITY OF THE RELEASED PARTIES FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR ATTENDANCE AT THE EVENT SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR YOUR TICKET. 24. By purchasing a ticket to the Event, RSVPing to the Event, or attending the Event, You irrevocably grant Us and Our designees the unrestricted right to capture, use, reproduce, transmit, exhibit, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, and otherwise use Your name, voice, image photograph, likeness, and appearance (collectively, Your “Likeness”) in any and all media or formats now known or hereafter devised, for marketing, promotional, advertising, and media purposes, without further notification, permission, or compensation. 25. You expressly acknowledge and agree that: a. We have no obligation to use Your Likeness; b. We have no obligation to notify You when Your Likeness is being used; c. You have no right to approve or inspect the use of Your Likeness; d. You are not entitled to any compensation for the use of Your Likeness. 26. You hereby release, discharge, and agree to hold harmless Us and Our designees from any liability arising from the use of Your Likeness as permitted under these Terms, including without limitation any claims for defamation, invasion of privacy, right of publicity, or copyright infringement. 27. By purchasing a ticket to the Event or RSVPing to the Event, You expressly consent to receive SMS text messages and email communications from Us regarding: (i) Event information, updates, and changes; (ii) future events and promotions; and, (iii) marketing and promotional materials. 28. You may opt out of receiving SMS communications at any time by replying “STOP” to any text message from Us. You may opt out of receiving email communications by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any email from Us or by emailing Us at events@dionysusnyc.com with “UNSUBSCRIBE” in the subject line. 29. Our communications comply with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (“TCPA”) and the Controlling the Assault of Non-Solicited Pornography and Marketing Act (“CAN-SPAM Act”). You acknowledge that: a. Your consent to receive communications is not required as a condition of purchasing any goods or services; b. Message and data rates may apply for SMS communications; c. The frequency of messages may vary;  d. We will not sell or distribute Your contact information to unaffiliated third parties for their marketing purposes without Your consent.  30. You will engage in good-faith negotiations with Us to resolve any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms. You must participate actively and without unreasonable delay. 31. If any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms is not fully resolved through negotiation within thirty (30) days of the initial inquiry, the dispute shall be submitted without further delay, to mediation and, if not resolved through mediation, binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association in accordance with its Consumer Mediation Rules and Consumer Arbitration Rules. You shall participate in all such proceedings in good faith and without unreasonable delay, and any failure to do so shall be a breach of these Terms. 32. YOU HEREBY WAIVE, WITH RESPECT TO ANY DISPUTE: (i) THE RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION OR OTHER REPRESENTATIVE ACTION IN COURT OR IN ARBITRATION, EITHER AS A CLASS REPRESENTATIVE OR CLASS MEMBER; AND (ii) THE RIGHT TO JOIN OR CONSOLIDATE CLAIMS WITH CLAIMS OF ANY OTHER PERSON. 33. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. Any modifications will be effective immediately upon posting on Our website, any ticketing website We use, or at the venue. Your continued use of tickets or attendance after such modifications constitutes Your acceptance of the modified Terms. 34. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect to the maximum extent permitted by the law. 35. No failure or delay by Us in exercising any right, power, or privilege under these Terms shall operate as a waiver thereof, nor shall any single or partial exercise of any right, power, or privilege preclude any other or further exercise thereof. 36. We may assign these Terms, in whole or in part, to any person or entity at any time without notice or consent. You may not assign Your rights or obligations under these Terms without Our prior written consent. 37. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between You and Us regarding Your purchase of tickets and attendance at the Event, superseding any prior agreements or understandings, whether written or oral. 38. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the internal laws of the State of New York, without giving effect to any choice or conflict of law provision or rule. 39. Any mediation, arbitration, or court proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms shall take place exclusively in New York County, New York. For any claim not subject to mandatory arbitration, You irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in New York County, New York, and waive any objection based on inconvenient forum or lack of personal jurisdiction.  40.
