Neighbors of Hicks Street, mark your calendars. We're closing the street and throwing a proper block party on Sunday, June 7th, kicking off at 1 pm. Yakeem will open the day with a balloon release in memory of his mom, Geraldine. Anyone who knew her is welcome to join in. 💙🤍 The block is covering the main spread: burgers, sausages, hot dogs, corn on the cob, courtesy of the Block Party Bonanza for Philadelphia250. From there, it's potluck, BYOB, and bring a chair or a tent if you have it. Music will be a collaborative Spotify playlist on John's speaker, so come ready to add your songs. Drop your RSVP so we can dial in food quantities, and join the WhatsApp group for updates between now and the 7th. Heads up: the city will block off the street, so move your car the night before or risk being parked in for the day!
